About Transactful
Transactful exists because trade credit on Shopify was either a spreadsheet or a promise. Merchants extended Net 30 terms to wholesale buyers, then discovered that nothing actually stopped an over-limit order at checkout. We built the missing piece: credit limits that Shopify itself enforces.
What we believe
Enforcement beats reporting. A credit limit that only appears on a dashboard is a suggestion. Transactful writes each company's available credit where Shopify's checkout can read it, so an order that would breach the limit is blocked before it exists, not chased after.
The ledger is the truth. Balances are derived from an append-only event ledger, reconciled nightly against Shopify's own records. We never store a mutable number and hope it stays right.
Never touch the theme. Everything runs on Shopify's native B2B primitives: companies, catalogs, payment terms, checkout validation. No Liquid edits, no scripts, nothing for a developer to maintain or untangle later. The architecture is documented openly so anyone evaluating us can verify it.
Who we serve
UK and EU wholesale merchants first: the businesses for whom VAT validation, reverse charge, and payment terms are daily reality rather than an edge case. Transactful works on every Shopify plan, from Basic to Plus, because since April 2026 native B2B does too.
