Support policy

What our support covers, how fast we reply, and how theme updates work.

We want Rentline to work well in your store. This page explains what our support covers and how to get help.

How to contact us

Use the support form. Tell us your store URL, the preset you use, and what you see. Add screenshots if you can. Screenshots help us find the problem faster.

We reply within two business days, Monday to Friday. We reply in English.

What our support covers

  • Theme setup. Help to install Rentline, choose a preset, and set up your rental products.
  • Theme settings. Questions about any setting, section, or block in the theme editor.
  • Bugs in the theme code. If a feature does not work as this documentation describes, we find the cause and fix it in a theme update.

What our support does not cover

  • Custom code. Changes you or someone else made to the theme code, including Custom Liquid sections and blocks.
  • Third-party apps. Setup, features, and problems of apps, including booking apps. Contact the app developer. We can tell you where the theme gives apps a place for their blocks.
  • Store design work. Design, photos, copywriting, or the setup of your store content for you.

For custom code or design work, hire a Shopify Partner.

Before you edit code

Rentline works without code changes. If you edit theme code:

  1. Duplicate the theme first (Online Store > Themes > … > Duplicate).
  2. Edit the copy, not your live theme.
  3. Keep a list of your changes. Code changes are not copied to new versions of the theme.

How theme updates work

We publish Rentline updates through the Shopify Theme Store. Updates fix bugs and add features. You can see what changed in the Changelog.

  1. When a new version is available, Shopify shows a notice next to Rentline in Online Store > Themes.
  2. When you update, Shopify adds the new version to your theme library as a new theme. Your theme settings and content in the theme editor are kept.
  3. Code changes that you made are not kept. Make them again in the new version, or ask a Shopify Partner.
  4. Preview the new version. When you are ready, click Publish.

Your live theme does not change until you publish the new version.
